Dance Camp Recital

Hello, all!  The big girls did a week of dance camp a few weeks ago and loved it!!  After a year of Abby Kate begging to go to "ballet," she finally got her turn!  As I expected, my girls were adorable, and the cutest little dancers you've ever seen!

Apparently, I didn't get pictures of Abby Kate in her ballet leotard.  They did a cute tap number in their pajamas.   Cline had to work, so I was running the video camera, which has a battery that needs to be replaced, so I did the best I could trying to capture everything.  Abby Kate was totally confident as she stood up there during her performance....  but she stood there... and stood there... and everyone else did some moves while.... she stood there... smiling, waving, and saying, "hey Mommy!"  Of course, she did a couple of moves right after I shut the video camera off, trying to save some battery for Christa's show!

Abby Kate did her own makeup!  Isn't it beautiful??  She had fun, but I think we're going to hold off a year on letting her take dance classes.  I'm trying to be more protective of our time, and it's not cheap, if we can get the same level of fun out of a one month gymnastics class :)

 Cousin Maggie Beth and Christa got to dance together.  They were adorable and had a blast!

The video camera died towards the begging of Christa and Maggie Beth's performance.  Luckily I had my iPhone, so I was able to get most of the show.  Here's Maggie Beth doing her arabesque.
