Hello all! Christa's Kinderkid class did the sweetest little program right before their Christmas party this year. I, along with 2 other moms, was in charge of the party, and we had a great time planning it. We made Christmas tree ornaments out of popscicle sticks, edible Christmas trees out of ice cream cones and frosting, and reindeer food to spread in the yard on Christmas Eve. A book swap and Chick-fil-A nugget lunch completed the festivities, closing out a great first semester.
The whole class sang the sweetest Christmas carols together. I tried hard to soak it up, in between taking pictures, making sure Cline was video taping, and making sure Elizabeth was safe.
Christa was in the nativity scene - the angel, as you can see.
Their last song was "Let There Be Peace On Earth." I got choked up during the performance, overwhelmed with gratitude for the 5 years I've had so far with my sweet girl, and grieving for the victims of the school shooting the week before. On the last verse, the teachers told the kids to go sing to their parents. Christa wanted to sing to her Daddy, so I played photographer.
Best Kindergarten class ever!
Daddy took Elizabeth to Abby Kate's class party, so that I could finish up Christa's celebration.
I had to sneak a few minutes to hug my other girl, though :)
