On Sunday, the 22nd, Thomas was moved from the NICU and into an empty post-partum room to stay with me for the night. Everyone wanted to make sure he would do OK before they sent us home. That night, it felt like we got back a little bit of the "normal" experience we were used to and had lost throughout the week. The crowds of family weren't there, but it was a nice, quiet night, and I felt like I could begin to celebrate my new baby. I put a sign and teddy bear on the door to mark the occasion, even though it was just for a night.
Leaving our new neighbors :( Luckily, Pace got to go home the following week, and the boys briefly re-united at a school Bazaar on Saturday!
Future college roommates??
Uncle Cleve stopped by on his way back to Athens to meet Thomas. He was our one visitor on our "normal" night after our tough week. I was so glad he came.
I took all the snuggle time I could, knowing 3 sweet little girls were waiting at home to "help" me the next day!
Our first "normal" baby clothes - a great gift from Cline's grandmother, Momese.
