Cruising Along

Hey guys! Well, at least I'm posting regularly again. They may not be highly entertaining posts, but I at least feel like I can give you updates on what we're up to. We had a great weekend. My friend, Kimberly, brought her 3 kids for an overnight play date, since Cline was working a ton. He's finishing up his last days at his current hospital, and we're looking forward to 2 whole weeks off! Yay! Christa had a blast playing with the kids and I enjoyed having the company around. I didn't get any pictures while they were here, though - sorry :(

I am continuing to feel better and had a great doctor's report on Thursday. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat again, and even heard a little movement. The heart rate was in the 160s, which was a bit higher than I ever remember Christa's being, but the doctor said it was fine. Of course, after relaxing from my confirmation that everything looked good, I tripped and fell later that same day. I landed on my side, and it wasn't a bad fall, so I resisted the urge to call my doctor and demand an ultrasound, and am trusting that everything is fine. It seems to be, and I am hoping to be able to start feeling the baby moving soon. We have our ultrasound scheduled for tax day next month, and after some thought, I think we are going to try to find out if it's a boy or a girl. At first, I was kind of hoping for another girl, but I'm getting so excited about the idea of either one, that I truly don't seem to have a preference. In fact, the only words I'm highly interested in hearing are, "everything looks great."

On Saturday morning we got up early and went to a rummage sale at our local baseball stadium. I went looking for a cheap Little Tykes slide or wooden kitchen set, but I'm deciding that people must not sell those too often because I'm having the hardest time finding one used. I've tried Craig's list, but the closest sellers are a good hour away from us. Oh well. It was cold and rainy and probably not worth the effort, but I did find a cheap bouncer in great condition for the new baby. Christa still sits in hers; it converts to a rocking chair. Plus, I figured that for $3, it would be worth it to have something to keep upstairs so I don't have to lug stuff up there each time I'm giving Christa a bath or something. When we got home, Christa immediately spotted the new bouncer, said "sit," and plopped herself down in it. I got pictures, which I will post soon.

I am continuing to feel better, and even cooked something tonight!! I am enjoying food more and throwing up less, so life is pleasant again. Water still seems to make me sick, so I'm using that as an excuse to drink lots of caffeine free Dr. Pepper instead :)

Well, I'm off to finish tax paperwork and fold the mountains of laundry that are piled in my living room. Have a great day!

Glad you are okay. I'm betting it's another girl! Hope you have a great week!

Pop quiz time: what famous childhood story is represented on www.google.com today?

If I don't die or fall asleep in the office, I'll post the answer tonight (though I am certain someone will have it)!

Smart move having two bouncers!! When we had Harbin it was no big deal because we lived in a ranch, but when we got to a two story, having two of most stuff was a must. You may want to consider having a second Pack N Play downstairs too!
