Latest News and Pictures

Hey guys!! I thought it might be time to add some new pictures, so here they are. They are out of sequence and with no comments in between them. Apparently, when I added the slideshow several posts back, it changed some setting so that I don't see the pictures before I post them - I only see lengthy computer codes that I don't understand. Do any of you know how to change my settings back so that I can work with the actual pictures and not the codes??

The pictures of Christa wearing the ADORABLE pillowcase dress were taken the weekend before last. Thanks so much, Amy!!! (And a BIG Congratulations on your soon-to-be new arrival!!) Just a reminder to those of you with girls - I have two highly skilled friends who make quality pillowcase dresses and hairbows, so let me know if you need any!

The other pictures were taken a few minutes ago. We have a nice layer of leaves in our yard, and the whole town is just beautiful with the fall colors right now. I'm not one of those people who especially loves Fall, per se. I pretty much like any month except January and February - those are just dreary and miserable around here! But our neighborhood is really pretty right now, so Christa and I enjoyed a few minutes outside. As you can see in one of the pictures, she didn't know what to think of the leaves falling naturally being thrown at her by Mommy for scenic effect :)

In other news, we are doing great! We've had a busy few weeks with some out of town company, my 10 year class reunion (I'm so old!!), and football season. I am especially loving being back in our hometown. After living in Atlanta and Augusta, during which I had some really positive experiences, I am finding that I am a small-town girl at heart. I've gotten involved in Kindermusik and a mother's group called MOPS. MOPS stands for "Mothers of Pre-Schoolers" and is a Christian based organization where moms get together for fellowship twice a month. They have some fun activities in addition to our regular meetings, such as the Halloween party that Christa and I went to last month. I am making some great friends through both of these groups, and love seeing people around town who I know or have recently met.

Cline stays busy working, exercising, and helping with the football team. We are hoping we'll all have a little more free time once football season wraps up. We are also trying hard to find a church to join, and have found two in the area that we feel like we could fit in at. Hopefully we'll be able to check out their Sunday School and small-groups soon, so that we can move forward towards membership somewhere.

Well, that's about it for now. I guess I'll go do some never-ending laundry until Cline gets home :)

You sound so much at peace in your new home. Thats great. It seems as though you are adjusting wonderfully to your new environment. Christa as usual looks as adorable as she could only be. She is such a beautiful little girl and I LOVE how you dress her. Michael and I barely buy clothing for the girls; all the family pretty much supply a lot of outfits since their bdays and holidays are very conveniently distributed around the year. But I most admit most of the clothing I don't really care for since its at times too stylish and looks so grown up. I love to see them dressed like little girls. By the way, how much does your friend charge for each dress?

Thanks for the cute pictures! And I love that little dress. Aunt Martiele is here. I'm going to show her all of Christa's pictures this afternoon. You'll probably hear here squealing all the way in Rome! Glad things are going well for you. Hope to get to see you soon.

Love the pictures! I've got some from the shower I need to send to you. I think they are on my mom's camera though so I'll have to get them! She is adorable and everyone loved seeing her for a few minutes. Talk to you soon!

Do you have a cat, or was that just artful positioning of a black cat in the last photo? Do tell!

Dear Anonymous,
It was artful positioning - are you impressed?? No, seriously - that's the neighbor's cat. (S)he? comes to visit us whenever we are outside. The cat was actually in my way for most of the pictures, and I had to work around it. I decided not to bother shooing him out of the way for that picture. We are, in fact, the heartless scrooges in the neighborhood who don't have any pets - not even a fish. Hmmm - maybe I should borrow the other neighbor's dog for our Christmas pictures, so we'll look like a more normal family.... Good thoughts.
