Fish and Tea

Hello all! We had a couple of very fun activities last week! We took one of Cline's off days and went to the Atlanta aquarium for the morning. I highly recommend this activity. Christa loved it!! She cried and kicked every time we left one exhibit, and we had to say "more fish" over and over again to get her to go to the next tank. It was very interesting and child friendly. Food and restrooms were easily accessible at all times; and the food was quite good!

Then on Saturday we went to a tea party for my friend, Kimberly's daughter, in Chattanooga. This tea party was a very sneaky and clever way to throw a shower for a mom who has just had her third child (and also an idea that I might have to steal sometime)! It was very fun, and we had a great time playing with our friends and giving baby Lydia (over at The Tinneys - link to the right) a warm welcome to the world!

This is baby Lydia's older sister, Catherine, who is about 4 months older than Christa. They are politely enjoying afternoon tea banging the delicate cups and throwing the plates on the floor. Note her dress - it's a pillowcase dress that Kimberly's sister-in-law (the creative giver of the shower) made. Baby Lydia also had a matching dress, and they looked adorable! I am going to have to find a way learn this skill for next summer (or see if I can pay off Kimberly's sister-in-law to make me one :).

Looks like a fun afternoon. This reminds me of when I was little & we used to go to a place called "Granny's Ice Cream Parlor". They had tables & chairs just like that. It was always a special treat to get to go there. I'm so glad you are taking so many pictures. You will be glad you have them.

We've enjoyed the GA aquarium both times we've gone. It isn't our all time favorite aquarium, but we do enjoy some of the exhibits at this one. Gracie loves the beluga whales and the whale sharks. She could sit and watch the whale sharks all day! I can't wait for them to finish up the dolphin exhibit and get it open in 2010. Glad to see ya'll got to spend some family time together and Christa had such a wonderful time at the aquarium! We'll try to get together soon!

The aquarium is a lot of fun. We took Kaitlyn while we were in Augusta, but she was only 3 months old. It was mainly for our enjoyment since she does not remember a thing. I absolutely love those pictures... it is so priceless to see them in their cute dresses enjoying their tea.

Ok, so I have been behind on blogs (something about three kids keeping me busy). I am finally catching up... so, I can make the dresses too, although I am still waiting on my new embroidery machine, so they might not be as personal right now. I can probably try to make at least one for Christa before we visit in Sept (wait for the call on that one, I haven't discussed with you us coming yet).

Thanks for coming to the tea party. I have a bunch of pics to give you. I was so busy last week making hair bows, I haven't even gotten them off my camera yet- speaking of, I have some hairbows for you too!
