Six weeks
Today - two months!
More pictures have been requested, so here they are! Today, Christa is exactly 2 months old. Wow - time sure does fly! She's getting bigger and bigger everyday. She and I are "celebrating" this occasion with a Dr. appointment and shots. Poor thing - I wish I could take her out for ice cream afterwards. Hmmm... ice cream - that sounds good. Since I'm breastfeeding, me eating ice cream is like giving her ice cream, right?? Maybe we will go get one of those coke floats from Wendy's (if you haven't tried one yet, you really should). I fully expect this shot experience will be as traumatic for me as it is for her. I remember when they brought her to me in the hospital after doing who knows what to her - her face was all red and puffy with spots on it, and she just looked like she'd been through the ringer. It was obvious she had been screaming. I felt TERRIBLE!
Well, I'm going to go get dressed and pre-medicate my daughter with Tylenol. Oh, by the way, I'll be updating this site once or twice a week. I'll definitely update on Thursdays and the 28th of each month, and if anything else interesting happens in between, I'll post something then too.***Post Dr. update - Christa's current stats***
weight: 10lb 2oz (50th percentile)
height: 21 3/4 inches (40th percentile)
head circumference: 15 3/4 inches (90th percentile)
*note* the head circumference is actually down from her birth HC of 95th percentile (hence one of the reasons I was induced a week early). She has her daddy's huge head!
Shots were tolerated with moderate angry crying.

I am sorry that she had to have shots, but the babies always do better than the mommas!!!! It's great that she is growing so nicely.
Catherine has that same dress she has on in her 6 week picture but Catherine's fits her now. We should get them together and get a pic of the two of them in it together!!!!
I have spent about 30 minutes trying to get this comment to publish and have already typed it 4 times. This is my last attempt.....I love the pictures but they do not do Christa justice...she is way cuter! I'm looking forward to taking my own this weekend at the beach.
Christa is such a cutie. However, I can't tell who she looks like. I remember the first few time I took Riley for shots, I think I cried more than he did. But you toughen up after the first few. so don't worry... it gets easier. I have also found that Motrin works a little bit better than Tylenol, and you don't have to give it as often. But keep those pictures coming. I'll keep working on Rileys blog, I know I have a lot of catching up to do but I'm almost there!!
