Hello all!! Having four kids is awesome!! But it has forced me to prioritize things differently. I have tried and tried, and there are simply not enough hours in the day to keep up with all of the things that need to be done. I could literally spend all day, every day, cleaning, doing laundry, paying bills, etc. - you know, all of the really important necessities, and never do anything else like eat or play with my kids. Forget blogging and organizing photos and sending thank you notes and reaching out to others and other things that I also think are really important. So, the standards around here have dropped since Thomas joined our family, and I'm really curious to see where they bottom out, exactly! Things like changing pants and socks for everyone are no longer a daily necessity. The house is NEVER as clean as I'd like it to be, and there is ALWAYS more to do than I can possibly get done! And that is with a lot of help - an unusually helpful husband, a great mom right down the street, and some hired cleaning and babysitting help on a regular basis.
I have thought about taking this blog off my to-do list altogether. But I really think I will treasure it when the kids are older and out of the house and I have more time to sit and enjoy what these days were like. I definitely need to spend less time, though, record-keeping. I go way overboard having pictures made, printing and organizing snap shots, and keeping up this blog. For now, I'm going to just do less and try not to stress out about it. Enjoy the captionless pictures! All of these were taken within the first month of Thomas's life!
OK, one quick caption for this one. I took this picture because Christa used to keep her hand like this near her head all the time. In fact, she was born with that presentation, which made the delivery extra fun :)
