We started Halloween off with a costume parade at the girls' school. Christa decided to be a cowgirl with her friends, who all had the same dance costume from the Spring recital last year. Abby Kate was very excited to be Rapunzel.
Three little girls ready for Halloween!
Abby Kate did a great job in the costume parade! I thought her choice of Rapunzel was incredibly ironic, given her especially short locks, but she made a beautiful, long-haired princess!
Christa and her friends, Adeline and Taylor and Sadie and August.
Christa's teachers were hilarious as the 3 Blind Mice.
Christa didn't really want to take time to pose for pictures during the costume parade. She was much more concerned with keeping up with her friends.
Ready to go Trick-or-Treating!
Christa had fun with her friends at school, but she really wanted to be a clown for Halloween night.
Elizabeth made an adorable ladybug!

Trick or Treating at Mimi's house.
We have a great neighborhood for Halloween night. We have a block party at "Kid's Cul-de-sac" with pizza. They really stepped it up this year, adding soup and hot chocolate. I think there was a hay ride, too, but we missed it, in the chaos of taking the girls trick-or-treating while keeping our bowl stocked on our front porch.
Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Christa is really at that "magic age" for these holidays, and Abby Kate follows right along.
