Thank you, internet. I didn't have to purchase a single thing for this "costume." I thought she looked pretty cute, if I do say so myself!

Christa happened to be snack leader that week, so we decided to get creative and have Dr. Seuss themed snacks. We sent colored goldfish and apples from the books, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and Ten Apples Up on Top the first day. The second day, we sent in blue goo (vanilla pudding with blue food coloring) from the book, Fox in Socks. The third day, we made these really cute Dr. Seuss hats out of Oreo cookies, Lifesaver gummies, and white frosting. Christa had a blast helping to make them, and they turned out really cute! The fourth day, we sent in Fruit Roll-Ups, because I was exhausted from my week of trying to be one of those over-achieving room mothers who just make you feel inadequate all the time :). We had fun with it, nonetheless, but, as always, I stole every single idea from the internet!I don't know if I'll have the energy to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday every year, especially as I have more kids needing to dress up. It might be worth my while to invest in some neat, pre-made costumes for the years ahead of us that we have to look forward to this annual festivity!
