I'm Leavin' On a Jet Plane

I just loved this outfit on Christa, so I had to get my camera out for a few shots before church on Sunday.

This one is for Margaret Anne - proof that I don't get left out of all the pictures :)

And today - what a big girl!

Hello all! I hope everyone is having a great week. We have been busy around here. I still don't feel like I've caught up on everything from our last trip a couple of weeks ago. We are leaving tomorrow to fly out to Oklahoma to celebrate my grandfather's 80th birthday. It will be Christa's first airplane ride. I must confess I'm a little nervous about the flight. I think Christa will do fine, but I've gone through phases in my life where I'm afraid of flying, and I seem to be in such a phase now. We are very much looking forward to seeing all of our "Okies" though :)
Christa is trying harder to pull up on things, and is getting really good at "standing" if she has something to hold on to. She's still not crawling, but seems content to roll and scoot backwards.
A few people have asked me what Christa's birthday plans are! (I realize it's still 2 and 1/2 months off, but I've been planning it mentally since she was born, so I do not feel that it is too early for a "save the date" blog post :) The party will definitely be on her actual birthday, Saturday, June 28. Time and city, TBA. We haven't gotten Cline's June schedule, yet, but as soon as we do, I'll finalize specific details. My feeling is that it will be in Augusta - I just don't see us getting a chance to move before then, and it's important to me that I spend the 28th with her - not moving that day. The more the merrier, so make plans to come for it if you can! (Although I should warn you that I WILL try to recruit you for moving help if we do end up moving the 29th!)
Well, I'm off to try and straighten the rest of my apartment and pack for tomorrow's trip. Have a great week!

Hope you all have a wonderful trip and that Christa does well on the plane! I can't imagine flying with a little one, but then again, i've never flown! Do something simple for Christa's first birthday, you'll be glad you did and you'll enjoy the day a lot better too! And she'll have a better day that way too. We'll have Gracie's party at Sparkles again this year on the 21st so we will have the 28th to do whatever she wants to do! I still can't believe the girls share the same birthday. Well I'm off to do laundry! Love ya

Riley has allergies too. He's on Singulair and Veramyst nasal spray. I think that is probably the reason why he is sick so often.

Have a great trip! I bet she will do fine on the plane. We flew with Ethan when he was about the same age. It was a little stressful at one point because he screamed and everyone decided to stare, but then he calmed down and did great for the rest of the trip. Enjoy some time with your family!

Have a great trip and return safely home. I truly believe that the younger they are the easier the trip. That being said after my experiences traveling with a two year old several times. If she does cry don't worry about what others think. They will have to get over it.

Don't worry about flying with her. It's not nearly as tough as it seems. Harbin flew 3 times before he was one and it was never difficult. Remember that you can GATE check your stroller, which means you can carry it all the way to the plane with you and let them take it right before boarding. Then you get it back right as you get off- that's more helpful than you could ever imagine!!! Have fun!

Thanks for the pictures! Did you realize we didn't take ANY pictures this past Sunday!!! I thought about it as we were getting back on the highway. It was great to get to see you guys, even if it was only for a few minutes. Hope to see you again soon!
Love,
