Merry Christmas From the Jacksons

December 2007

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

How high-tech are we, doing our Christmas letter via web? And what's up with this 80 degree weather the second week of December? Wow – what a great year 2007 has been to us! Cline and I were thrilled beyond words to welcome our baby daughter, Christa Louise, into our lives on June 28. She is a great baby and the perfect addition to our family. We are fully enjoying our new parenting roles, and Christa is growing so fast. She already has 2 teeth at 5 months old, and has learned how to roll across the living room. She is such a joy to be with everyday.
Along with Christa, 2007 brought some other changes to our life, and we expect even more changes in 2008. I left my career as a Registered Nurse to fulfill my lifelong dream to be a stay-at-home mom. I can honestly say that it’s everything I hoped it would be. Fortunately, God provided some supplemental income through a babysitting job for a couple who work with Cline. They have a baby girl who is 3 months older than Christa, and their part-time needs fit nicely with our schedule.
In July, Cline entered the 3rd and final year of his emergency medicine residency. He is due to graduate at the end of June, when we will move back home to Rome!!! He has worked long and hard to get here, and we are very proud of him. He has a job lined up in Cartersville, GA, a town about 30 minutes from Rome. Currently, we are investigating our housing and mortgage options and hope to buy our first home in the next few months. Our apartment has been good to us, but I'm ready for a bigger kitchen, and Cline is ready for a manly gas grill!
In October, we celebrated the marriage of my sister, Alicia, to Brandon Stock. We don't get to see them nearly as often as we'd like, as they live in Dallas, TX, but it's nice to finally have a brother on my side of the family. In November, Cline's twin brother, Chas and his wife announced that they are expecting their second child in May. We eagerly anticipate the arrival of this little one, and are having a blast with our rapidly expanding families.
We hope your family has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love,
Cline, Jessica, and Christa
