Calling All Bloggers and Fashion Experts

Good morning all! Let me just say I am thorougly enjoying this whole blogging thing. Thank you for participating with me by reading it and leaving comments. I love having something besides e-mail to check 20 times a day (I know, I have entirely too much time on my hands). By the way, I have adjusted the settings so that anyone can leave a comment - you don't have to have a google account. Just click "anonymous" and share your wisdom!

Nothing new to share since Monday, but I do need some advice on a couple of things. First of all, I've heard some rumors over the last couple of years that the old "no white after Labor Day rule" no longer applies. I'm assuming this is because September is now nearly as hot if not hotter than the rest of the summer. Since Christa has several white outfits that I don't feel like we've gotten a sufficient amount of wear from, would I be breaking a major fashion rule if she continues to wear them?? And better yet, can I continue to wear white? If so, when is the new cut-off date? Any insight anyone has on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Secondly, for all of you techno-savvy people, I have, on some other blogs, seen a nifty writing technique I'd like to use. These bloggers will write words with a line drawn straight through them, as if they were marking the words out. I can not figure out how to do this amazing thing - I have hit "ctrl" plus every letter in the alphabet, to no avail. Can anyone out there tell me how to do this?

Well, that wraps up this weeks postings. See you next Thursday, unless something interesting happens before then!

The strike through for words is an html code. Apparently this blog only allows certain codes, but not others, like strike.

Hey ya'll. It sure was good to see little Christa when I got home last week. I just wish it could have been a longer visit. I'm so glad that you are blogging, so that we can see all of the great pictures. We just need to get one of me with Christa up there. Love you guys.

OK. I am an avid watcher of What Not to Wear on TLC and Clinton and Stacy say that it is OK to wear white after labor day. So i think if you and Christa continue to wear white it won't be considered a fashion faux pas (i hope i spelled that right). White is a color for all seasons, as are all of the neutrals. You can never go wrong with them! Now that you have a lot of time on your hands (well, until she start to crawl) you can watch What Not to Wear on TLC every day at 12 noon. When Riley was smaller, I watched that and then the food network all day. So I learned how to dress and how to cook!!! Now that he is older, we watch Nick Jr. BTW, the Wonder Pets are Awesome!!

I think it's perfectly fine to wear white after Labor Day- I let my kids wear hawaiian print after then, so surely white would be fine! :)

Hey Jess,
Enjoying the pics of your family, can't wait to see you all next month! I hope you used up all the rain, and when Randy and I go to the beach, it will be beautiful! Of course, I'm sorry it was bad for you, but shopping sure helps on a rainy day, huh?
As to the question, someone older and wiser once told me not to worry about what others thought of you (hint: older brother) so wear whatever you feel like! Patti
